Δημοσιεύθηκε στις 10 Φεβρουαρίου 2012
TemporadaLivre is a prospering vacation rental startup that lives in Brazil. We launched around july last year and we’ve been gaining momentum ever since, so we already think it’s time to revamp our 1.0 version !
We offer a position that allows you to work from anywhere in the world and in your own time frame, either in a freelance or part-time contract, details will be discussed in a second moment.
Our app is multi-lingual and all the team speaks/writes fluent english, so communication will not be a problem if you speak english :)
The team is small so our candidate will have a huge impact in the new face of the startup and your work will already be seen by hundreds of thousands of people each month.
Our “dream” candidate would have the following qualities:
We’re big fans of grid system and agile development frameworks like Twitter’s bootstrap 2.0 and Zurb’s Foundation, we definitely want to use them to start off in good shape this time;
At least one year developing for the web;
Extraordinary good taste and skill for design :)
An understanding of conversion rate best practices;
Master at photoshop / fireworks;
Experience with building wireframes, rapid prototyping;
Experience with responsive (== resolution dependent) webpages; note that Twitter’s Bootstrap and Zurb’s Foundation already support it out of the box;
Experience with different fonts, typography and it’s implementation on the web;
Can create cross-browser compatible code (IE7+, don’t even worry about IE6) and test thoroughly;
A basic understanding of git (pull, commit, push);
Familiarity with wordpress also gets you extra mile :)
Our backend is Ruby on Rails, so if you know anything about it don’t forget to mention it;
What you will be doing:
Helping us to revamp our UI starting a clean and fresh project using one of the two frameworks mentioned above;
Helping to brainstorm the new UIs to improve our user experience and increase our conversion rates;
Working with wireframes in various stages of development, evolving them until production-ready font end code;
As you see, we have emphasized our will to start using a framework like Twitter’s Bootstrap. This will cut tremendously on the coding and boringness of the front-end implementation, allowing the candidate to experiment with rapid prototyping and spend much more time in UI design then coding / implementation.
